Patrick Conneely is a musician, writer and performer. He studied Drama, Theatre and Performance at NUI Galway and made his professional acting debut with Druid Theatre Company in ‘King of the Castle’ in 2017. He performs regularly as a solo musician and has won awards for his original songs and lyrics. In 2018 and 2019 he wrote and directed two short award-winning musicals for GUMS (Galway University Musical Society). In 2020, his original musical was showcased at Scene & Heard Festival in Smock Alley Theatre. He has played support to Eddi Reader and the Alan Kelly Band and has performed in events such as the Volvo Ocean Race. He has been featured on Nicky Byrne Show on 2FM, the Keith Finnegan Singer/Songwriter slot on Galway Bay FM and at the Citóg Showcase in the Róisín Dubh, Galway. He played a lead role in Galway Musical Society’s production of Legally Blond in the Galway Town Hall Theatre and in the GUMS production of ‘Urinetown’ in the Black Box Theatre. He was a semi-finalist in the national Le Crunch Song Contest and the winner of NUIG's Got Talent 2016.
